These are the standard Terms & Conditions for any business conducted between us, Investigation & Intelligence Limited (the company, or investigator), and you (the client).
Fees
All fees are payable in advance. We are a consultancy service and as such require that we are retained to act for a client. A retainer is not a deposit and will not be treated as such. Refunds cannot be provided once we have acted upon clients’ instructions. Our services generate costs that we ourselves will not be reimbursed in the event a client decides to cancel their instructions. We cannot indemnify a client against unanticipated costs generated from the work that we do, however, we will always seek proper authorisation to proceed if any unforeseen costs arise.
The Law
Our agents and representatives will not knowingly breach privacy laws in the course of an investigation. If our services are abused, such as in the event whereby the information provided in our reports is utilised for a criminal enterprise, we will assist any proper legal authority in the pursuit and prosecution of any party who has knowingly acted accordingly. Investigation & Intelligence Limited are not lawyers and cannot provide qualified legal advice. If you require legal advice, always seek the advice of a solicitor.
Reports
Investigation & Intelligence Limited reserves the right to report findings and give advice, orally, in writing by electronic means or otherwise as deemed fit by the company. Our reports remain the intellectual property of Investigation & Intelligence Limited, any publication by way of an extract or in full, or distribution to a third party by our client, must be authorised in writing by the company beforehand, regardless of whether authorisation was previously implied or suggested. All reports are provided in good faith, and as such Investigation & Intelligence Limited will not guarantee accuracy in any report, nor accept any liability arising from errors, omissions or inaccuracies contained therein. We do not accept liability for any suggested or claimed losses arising from our inability to provide a conclusion to our investigations within a specified time as a result of circumstances beyond our control.
